Corona Virus Update — Company Hotline for COVID 19 is 877 342 3908

Exposure Update – We start the week with Zero cases of exposure or prolonged contact to report. To our knowledge all employees previously quarantined have now been cleared to return to work.

Case Tracker – You will be able to track certain information on the following link regarding cases confirmed, active and recovered. httpss://insidelm.external.lmco.com/covid-19-space-updates-case-tracker If you have questions, contact your committee.

Extended County Order – late last week the Santa Clara County Order was extended through the month of May. If you checked the memo sent last week, Appendix A of the order has listed several items that had to be implemented; some of these we have been practicing such as social distancing, wearing of masks, etc. Now we are to have our symptoms checked prior to coming into the facility; check for Cough, shortness of breath and take your temperature. If your temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher you will need to stay home and call the Hotline and follow their instructions. Strip type reusable thermometers will be sent to LM space employees soon. Please check your mailbox.

$500.00 awards – were paid out on May 1st, 2020. Let us know if you had not received this award, and if you feel you should have received it, we will address it with the company.

Blood Drive – Communication about an on-site blood drive will be coming out shortly, due to the current pandemic there is a great need for donated blood.

Masks -The company has mailed masks to LM space employees. Check your mailboxes. Let us know if you have not received yours by early next week. Your official address of record is where they will be sent; Check/Update your address of record. Your Union masks are on order and will be coming soon – see the example below. According to the recent SCC order all employees have to wear masks on Company grounds.

Remember the following:
If you feel sick, stay home and call the hotline number above
Social distancing – keep at least 6 feet between you and others when possible including lunch & breaks
Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
Try not to touch your face or your eyes
For those who are not sick and don’t feel comfortable at work, discuss this with your manager and take time off – using Unpaid, Paid Absence Leave or Vacation, if approved.

The process for those who don’t feel well is to call the Hotline and discuss how you feel. If you are directed to self-quarantine, a notice will be sent to your manager and your labor relations business partner.

Your input continues to be valuable; please continue to pass it on to your stewards, Dimas Resendez, David Johnson, Kimberlee Hamilton Alarcon, Brian Babcock and Rod Thole. Bulletins will also be posted on LL2228 website www.iamll2228.org

We will continue to meet and post bulletins, the Union and the Company are clearly working together to make sure you are safe on the job.

LL2228 MEETING UPDATE – THE NORMAL MONTHLY UNION MEETING SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY MAY 13TH, 2020 HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC.
