For Sunnyvale, Palo Alto and Santa Cruz CA Workers

Union Report 3/31/2020 – Corona Virus Update

The Union and the Company met today at 2:pm. And we continue to receive good news:
• Another day without any confirmed or presumptive cases of Corona Virus due to contact.
• More of the employees from quarantine are moving towards clearing back into work.
While in the meeting, I received word that the Shelter in place order for Santa Clara County is to be extended until May 3rd , 2020.

Josh Hespeler from SCF joined on the call today – confirming that they will not be adding a second shift at SCF. That his facility has moved to a much more heightened state of awareness. Practicing social distancing, posted checklists for cleaning their workstations, also received additional cleaning supplies from Sunnyvale.

The Union received MSDS sheets for the cleaning chemicals used; also received answers from facilities – these were handed over to the Union safety committee for review.

Management and the department steward with the help of Labor Relations were able to find alternative buildings to spread the work force to comply with social distancing, initially some employees in this department were to be deployed in B/182 – our members were concerned, and this was resolved.

Some time charging issues using the KNDS charge number have been resolved; others are still being investigated.

Air showers and their safety were discussed – Ramzi Srouji of E.S.&H. explained that the filtration of in the showers eliminates the virus and other particles. Will address wiping down the handles.

Asked what percentage of all Lockheed employees are teleworking, IT is working on getting the information to us.
Remember the following:
• If you feel sick, stay home and call the hotline number above
• Social distancing – keep at least 6 feet between you and others when possible
• Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
• Try not to touch your face or your eyes
• For those who are not sick and don’t feel comfortable at work, discuss this with your manager and take time off.

The process for those who don’t feel well is to call the Hotline and discuss your symptoms and how you feel. If you are directed to self-quarantine, a notice will be sent to your manager and your labor relations business partner.
Your input has been valuable; please continue to pass it on to your stewards, Dimas Resendez, David Johnson, Kimberlee Hamilton Alarcon, Brian Babcock and Rod Thole. Bulletins will also be posted on LL2228 website www.iamll2228.org

All these actions and more are how we are going to keep the locations safe and healthy. We will keep generating these bulletins to keep you all informed.

Fraternally
