Corona Virus Update

There wasn’t a meeting scheduled for Friday March 27th, 2020. I received a call from Labor Relations late Friday afternoon. The Company informed the Union that two represented employees may have been in significant and direct contact with an employee that had been deemed likely positive with the COVID-19 Virus. These employees will be paid KNDS until they are cleared to return to work. This incident happened in the NIROP.
Proactive cleaning will continue as they have, on a presumptive and precautionary basis in B/181 & 182 as well as any other areas on campus as required. Custodial cleaning will continue across the campus.
If you have been following these Bulletins, then you know that things change from day to day; we will continue to write these bulletins to keep you informed.
I will continue to repeat the following:
• If you feel sick, stay home and call the hotline number above
• Social distancing – keep at least 6 feet between you and others when possible
• Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
• Try not to touch your face or your eyes
• For those who are not sick and don’t feel comfortable at work, discuss this with your manager and take time off.
The process for those who don’t feel well is to call the Hotline and discuss your symptoms and how you feel. If you are directed to self-quarantine, a notice will be sent to your manager and your labor relations business partner.
We will be meeting with the company Monday – Thursday at 2:00pm.
