Exposure Update – No new cases were reported today. Last week we learned that a Non-Bargaining unit employee from B/154 may have been exposed outside of the workplace, it was reported today that the symptoms were not Covid-19 related. This employee has not been to work since 6/1/2020 and the medical staff does not believe that any other employees may been in contact with him, a precautionary cleaning of B/154 was conducted none the less.

Misting – the misting in B/110 is scheduled for Friday June 12th, 2020 from 0300 to 0330. Do not forget to store personal belongings including drink cups prior to Friday.

IAM Masks – The union is distributing IAM masks through your stewards, The Union Hall is closed to foot traffic due to the corona virus; your stewards are providing me with a list of employees within the departments. We will get these masks to your stewards soon. When you receive them, be safe and wash & dry before using. The Union is expecting an additional shipment of masks and will provide members with one additional mask for a total of two per member; we will keep you informed. According to the recent SCC order, all employees have to wear masks on Company grounds.

Symptom Checking Prior to Work –LM Space employees as well as vendors, are to self-check their symptoms prior to coming into the facility. Temperature checking stations are located at all Bay Area locations; B/202 in Palo Alto, B/602 in Santa Cruz, and the Visitors Center in Sunnyvale. If a temperature of 100.4 is indicated you are to go home and contact the hot line.

The process for those who do not feel well is to call the Hotline and discuss how you feel. If you are directed to self-quarantine, a notice will be sent to your manager and your labor relations business partner.

Return To Work – As was seen in the memo sent from CEO Marilyn Hewson, the company is planning on phasing its employees back into work who have been working from home. Please review your emails. We will keep you informed as we learn more.

Your input continues to be valuable; please continue to pass it on to your stewards, Dimas Resendez, David Johnson, Kimberlee Hamilton Alarcon, Brian Babcock and Rod Thole. Bulletins will also be posted on LL2228 website www.iamll2228.org.

Remember the following:
If you feel sick, stay home and call the hotline number above
Social distancing – keep at least 6 feet between you and others when possible including lunch & breaks
Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
Try not to touch your face or your eyes
For those who are not sick and don’t feel comfortable at work, discuss this with your manager and take time off – using Unpaid, Paid Absence Leave or Vacation, if approved.
