Exposure Update – No new cases of exposure or contact have been reported. All bargaining unit members have been cleared and have returned to work. Last week we reported a Non-Bargaining unit employee that was being monitored due to contact with a family member, today we learned that the employee has been cleared to return to work and may return as soon as tomorrow.

Misting – the misting in B/159 will take place on June 3rd, 2020 between 0300 and 0500. Remove items from your desk, especially drink cups.

Symptom Checking –LM Space employees as well as vendors, are to self-check their symptoms prior to coming into the facility. Temperature checking stations are located at all Bay Area locations; B/202 in Palo Alto, B/602 in Santa Cruz, and the Visitors Center in SVL. see Fig B below. If a temperature of 100.4 is indicated you are to go home and contact the hot line.

Thermometers – Reusable strip type thermometers are currently arriving in your mailboxes. See Fig. A below. Let us know if you have not received them.

Masks -The company has mailed masks to LM space employees, if you have not received yours by the middle of this week let us know. The company also has disposable masks and black cloth masks for employees as needed. According to the recent SCC order, all employees have to wear masks on Company grounds. New hires will receive masks as part of their new hire packet. If you forget a mask from home they are available in the Sunnyvale Service Center

IAM Masks – The union is distributing IAM masks through your stewards, The Union Hall is closed to foot traffic due to the corona virus; your stewards are providing me with a list of employees within the departments. We will get these masks to your stewards soon. When you receive them, be safe and wash & dry before using. See Fig C

Remember the following:
If you feel sick, stay home and call the hotline number above
Social distancing – keep at least 6 feet between you and others when possible including lunch & breaks
Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
Try not to touch your face or your eyes
For those who are not sick and don’t feel comfortable at work, discuss this with your manager and take time off – using Unpaid, Paid Absence Leave or Vacation, if approved

The process for those who don’t feel well is to call the Hotline and discuss how you feel. If you are directed to self-quarantine, a notice will be sent to your manager and your labor relations business partner.

Your input continues to be valuable; please continue to pass it on to your stewards, Dimas Resendez, David Johnson, Kimberlee Hamilton Alarcon, Brian Babcock and Rod Thole. Bulletins will also be posted on LL2228 website www.iamll2228.org.

The Union and the Company are clearly working together to make sure you are safe on the job. We will continue to post bulletins after meetings.

Fraternally,
