The Decision Tree – There is a change to the process of notifying the company if you may have been exposed to the Corona Virus. Attached is the decision tree identifying this new procedure. Instead of calling the hotline you are to notify your manager and stay home. Your manager will notify the corona virus task force point of contact (refer to attached process flow) who will reach out to you directly. You will be subjected to a brief questionaire, and your answers will be submitted to company medical for further evaluation and guidance. Review the upcoming Covid Digest which will further clarify Q & A regarding this new procedure. The bottom line is to notify management if you are positive, or if you believe that you have been exposed or if someone in your household had contact with an exposed individual.

Exposure Update – There was one new case reported today in B/181& 182. The employee was showing symptoms and their last day at work was July 21. We are awaiting test results. The company determined that contact tracing was not required. Precautionary cleansing was to be scheduled late today. Friday we learned of a case in B/181& 182. Contact tracing identified two employees who may have had contact, and they have been directed to self-quarantine as a precautionary measure. The employee who works in B195D is still at home on self-quarantine. The non-bargaining unit employee who last worked in B/156G on 7/3/2020 is still in self-quarantine. Other case updates: B/156 employee has been out since 6/18 and we are still waiting for further information.

Misting – Misting will be performed on July 23 in B/071 and July 24 in B/110. A reminder to put all personal items away such as drink cups etc. Misting operations occur between 0300- 0500 on the days scheduled.

Masks– The Company has clearly stated that the wearing of Masks in the workplace is MANDATORY.
The company will clarify with its leaders that facial coverings must always be worn in the workplace- Temporary removal of masks is allowed during breaks and lunches away from other employees.

Remember, all employees, LM Space or Contractors, have to wear masks on Company grounds. Paper masks will be available in lobbies for employees that may forget theirs at home; please take one as supplies are limited.

Symptom Checking Prior to Work –LM Space employees as well as vendors, are to self-check their symptoms prior to coming into the facility. Temperature checking stations are located at all Bay Area locations; B/520 Lobby in Santa Clara, B/202 in Palo Alto, B/602 in Santa Cruz, and the Visitors Center in Sunnyvale. If a temperature of 100.4 is indicated you are to go home and contact your manager.

Caution Away From work – As numbers are trending up throughout the region it is important to continue to follow the CDC guidelines closely as well as the State requirements. Exposure cases have occurred in the households where our members live. Please consider this when planning trips to the store or on weekends with your family; continuing to practice safe measures will keep you and your families safe at Home and at Work.

Please continue to pass on information to the committee: Dimas Resendez, David Johnson, Kimberlee Hamilton Alarcon, Brian Babcock and Rod Thole. Bulletins will also be posted on LL2228 website www.iamll2228.org.

Remember the following:

If someone in your household may have been in contact with someone exposed to the virus – call Your manager
If you feel sick, stay home, and call Your manager
If you have been traveling abroad and have returned home, call Your manager
Social distancing – keep at least 6 feet between you and others when possible including lunch & breaks
