Corona Virus Update — Company Hotline for COVID 19 is 877 342 3908

Exposure Update – we have 1 new case reported today of an exposure within the household. The employee who works in B195D is home on self-quarantine. Another employee has returned to work after testing negative. They had been out since July 2nd and no contact tracing was necessary. A non-bargaining unit employee who last worked in B/156G on 7/3/2020 had tested positive last week after the July 4th holiday and had reported to their management on July 7th. No other employees were exposed to our knowledge and no precautionary cleaning was deemed necessary. They are on self-quarantine and we are monitoring the situation and their welfare. Updates on employees previously reported in this bulletin: an employee from B/153 who had been out since 6/11 returned to work on 7/6 and another out since 6/17 has also returned to work. We are waiting for further information on 3 other older cases.

Caution Away From work – As numbers are trending up throughout the region it is important to continue to follow the CDC guidelines closely as well as the State requirements. Exposure cases have occurred in the households where our members live. Please consider this when planning trips to the store or on weekends with your family; continue to practice safe measures will keep you and your families safe at home and at work.

Misting – Misting schedule is as follows- B/157 Floors 1 & 2. July 17th, B 157 – 3rd Floor. July 18th, – B/157 fourth Floor. July 19th, – 5th Floor. A reminder to put all personal items away such as drink cups etc. Misting operations occur between 0300- 0500 on the days scheduled.

Masks– The Company has clearly stated that the wearing of Masks in the workplace is MANDATORY.
MASKS MUST BE WORN OVER THE NOSE AND MOUTH. Temporary removal of masks is allowed during breaks and lunches away from other employees. Remember, all employees, LM Space or Contractors, have to wear masks on Company grounds. Paper masks will be available in lobbies for employees that may forget theirs at home; please take one as supplies are limited.

IAM Masks – The Union Hall is closed to foot traffic due to the corona virus; Stewards will be passing out the second IAM masks soon. contact your steward for further information.

Symptom Checking Prior to Work –LM Space employees as well as vendors, are to self-check their symptoms prior to coming into the facility. Temperature checking stations are located at all Bay Area locations; B/202 in Palo Alto, B/602 in Santa Cruz, and the Visitors Center in Sunnyvale. If a temperature of 100.4 is indicated you are to go home and contact the hot line.

Remember the following:
If someone in your household may have been in contact with someone exposed to the virus – call the Hotline
If you feel sick, stay home, and call the Hotline
If you have been traveling abroad and have returned home, call the Hotline
Social distancing – keep at least 6 feet between you and others when possible including lunch & breaks
Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
Try not to touch your face or your eyes
