Corona Virus Update — Company Hotline for COVID 19 is 877 342 3908

California Governor’s announcement – Effective immediately, certain counties must close all bars, some beach parking, and indoor business operations due to the risk of infection. This applies to counties that have been on the County Monitoring List for 3 consecutive days. These closures will remain in place for at least 3 weeks. Exposure Update – The following information was confirmed today: There was a confirmed positive case of an employee in B/153 who has not been at work since June 11th, they are still out with a tentative return date of July 6th pending clearance from medical. Two separate cases in B/156 on June 17th, and 18th where others may have been in contact are quarantined pending test results and clearance to return to work, precautionary cleaning was performed. A case in B/158 out since June 22nd and others who may have been in contact, are quarantined pending test results and being cleared by medical to return. A case on June 23rd in B/156, those in contact were notified and are in quarantine pending clearance to return to work. June 24th a confirmed positive case from B/157 was identified along with others who may have been in contact and are in quarantine pending results and a return to work, precautionary cleaning was also performed. A case in B/156 on approximately June 26th of an employee whose spouse had covid like symptoms has been cleared to return to work today. All employees are being compensated with the KNDS charge number while out on quarantine. If you were in contact with any of these cases you would have been contacted by medical by now. If you have not been contacted, you were not assumed to be at risk by company medical.

Misting – A new misting schedule will be received by the committee next week

Masks– The Company has clearly stated that the wearing of Masks in the workplace is MANDATORY. Temporary removal of masks is allowed during breaks and lunches away from other employees. If the employees you work around are not wearing masks while working; please call them on it and contact your committee members if they persist. Remember, all employees, LM Space or Contractors, have to wear masks on Company grounds. Paper masks will be available in lobbies for employees that may forget theirs at home; please take one as supplies are limited.

IAM Masks The Union Hall is closed to foot traffic due to the corona virus; Stewards will be passing out the second IAM masks soon. contact your steward for further information.

Symptom Checking Prior to Work –LM Space employees as well as vendors, are to self-check their symptoms prior to coming into the facility. Temperature checking stations are located at all Bay Area locations; B/202 in Palo Alto, B/602 in Santa Cruz, and the Visitors Center in Sunnyvale. If a temperature of 100.4 is indicated you are to go home and contact the hot line.

Summer and Travel – It is very important to remember to stay safe if traveling during the summer. We still have a serious public health issue and it will take all of us to be vigilant and remember to take all appropriate steps to keep healthy and safe. Please review the flyer attached. Have a Happy Negotiated Fourth of July and a safe one as well.

Remember the following:
If someone in your household may have been in contact with someone exposed to the virus – call the Hotline
If you feel sick, stay home, and call the Hotline
If you have been traveling abroad and have returned home, call the Hotline
Social distancing – keep at least 6 feet between you and others when possible including lunch & breaks
Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
Try not to touch your face or your eyes
