The survey sheets that have been returned to the Union Hall has the following results:

Food Committee - 6 people

Kitchen Committee - 26 people

Picket Committee - 27 people

Transportation Committee- 4 people

Telephone Committee - 7 people

Records Committee - 1 person

Welfare Committee - 2 people

Scheduling Committee - 1 person

Any Committee - 22 people

The latest Union Report that is available has a section for members to sign up for Picket Duty. Stewards are urged to pick up their copies at the Local Lodge 2228 meeting on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 10:30 am. Members are urged to sign up for Picket Duty or any other committee if they have not done so.

I have also been in contact with the South Bay Central Labor Council and will be meeting with them on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in order to discuss plans in the event that a strike is called. In addition, I will also be meeting with the Sunnyvale Police Department in order to keep Sunnyvale Police Dept informed.

Again, I urge all members to help us out. Remember, it is your contract..!

PS: David Chen has been appointed as Strike Co-Coordinator and Brian Wong will be serving as Chairperson for the Kitchen Committee. More announcements will follow. Also, any Steward that has not returned their survey sheets are urged to do so.
